Effective date: September 11, 2026. This agreement replaces the prior Terms of Service dated January 9, 2019.

This website is operated by Direct Insight Services, Inc. ("Direct Insight," "we," "us"). By using dic4.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. About these terms

These terms govern your access to and use of this website. We may update them, and the updated version takes effect when posted here. The effective date above tells you when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the current version.

2. This site is informational

The content here describes our services and general investigative practice. It is not legal advice, claims advice, or a professional opinion about your situation, and you should not act on it without speaking to a qualified professional about your specific facts.

3. No engagement is created by this website

Browsing this site, submitting a form, or emailing us does not create an investigator-client relationship and does not obligate us to take your matter. We are engaged only when both parties sign a written agreement or we confirm the assignment in writing. Until then, no duty of confidentiality attaches to what you send us through this site.

For that reason, do not send confidential case details, claim numbers, medical records, personal identifiers, or information about a third party through the website forms. Use the forms to make contact, and we will provide a secure channel.

4. Licensing and where we work

Direct Insight is a licensed investigative agency: Florida A9700152, Nebraska 400, and Iowa 1672. Investigative licensing is regulated state by state, and the services we can lawfully perform vary by jurisdiction. Nothing on this site is an offer to perform services in a state where we are not authorized to do so.

5. Our content

The text, images, video, graphics, and design on this site belong to Direct Insight or our content suppliers and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may view and print pages for your own reference. You may not republish, redistribute, sell, frame, scrape, or create derivative works from this site without our written permission, and you acquire no ownership rights by using it.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Data mine, scrape, crawl, or harvest email addresses from this site, or send automated queries to it
  • Use the site or its contents to build a competing listing, directory, or product
  • Use anything obtained here to send unsolicited commercial email
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its private areas, or its underlying systems
  • Use the site in violation of any applicable law, or submit information you know to be false

This website is intended for adults conducting business and is not directed to anyone under 18.

7. Client portal

Our secure file exchange is provided through a third-party portal. Access to it is governed by your client agreement with us and by that provider's own terms and privacy policy, not by these terms.

8. Links to other sites

We link to third-party sites for convenience. We do not control them, we are not responsible for their content or practices, and a link is not an endorsement.

9. Availability

We aim to keep this site available and accurate, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or current at every moment. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

THIS SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. YOUR USE OF THE SITE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THIS SITE IS TO STOP USING IT.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DIRECT INSIGHT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST GOODWILL, LOSS OF USE, OR LOSS OF DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THIS SITE OR ITS USE, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY AND EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THIS SECTION APPLIES TO THE WEBSITE. IT DOES NOT LIMIT ANY OBLIGATION WE OWE A CLIENT UNDER A SIGNED ENGAGEMENT AGREEMENT.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Direct Insight and its partners, employees, and affiliates from any liability, loss, claim, and expense, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your violation of these terms or your use of the site.

13. Privacy

Your use of this site is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

14. Copyright complaints

If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, send a notice to info@dic4.com containing all of the following:

  1. An electronic or physical signature of the person authorized to act for the copyright owner
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
  3. A description of where the allegedly infringing material is located on this site
  4. Your address, telephone number, and email address
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf

15. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. You agree that venue for any dispute arising between you and Direct Insight or its affiliates relating to this site shall be in Omaha, Nebraska.

16. Severability

If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest of the agreement will remain in full force and effect.

17. Termination

We may terminate or restrict your access to this site at any time, with or without notice, for any reason.
